May 2008 Issue, by Ir. Abd. Rashid
Toyo Malaysia hosted the monthly meeting of The
Institution of Engineers (IEM) Kerteh Chapter in Menara Haw Par Kuala Lumpur on the 9th May 2008. All the committee members, who are mainly involved in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry, traveled from Paka, Kerteh and Kemaman to attend this meeting.
While in Toyo Malaysia office the committee members also gave a briefing to our staff with engineering degrees on how to obtain their Professional Engineer Status with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
In the afternoon of the same day Toyo Malaysia and IEM Kerteh Chapter visited the Children Activity Center in Chow Kit (http://www.chowkids.org / & http://www.salam.org.my) to give away a donation of RM7500 to the center. This money was collected based on a joint effort by Toyo Malaysia and their vendors and subcontractor and also with IEM Kerteh Chapter.
On the 18th of May 2008 Toyo Malaysia hosted a dinner for the delegation from Lukoil Group from Russia. The dinner was held in the Chinese Restaurant in the Malaysian Petroleum Club (MPC) in the Petronas Twin Towers. They were very impressed with the magnificence of the Petronas Towers and also the opulence ambience of MPC.
Several key staff from Toyo
Malaysia including our MD Mr. Imai and his wife attended the Oilman Gala Dinner on the 23rd May 2008. It is a tradition for Toyo Malaysia to take up a table in this much talked about yearly event.
